In His drawings and his sculptures Gad Ullman relates directly to mythological legends. Icarus image is floating between sea and sky with Outspread wings. This body is heavy gravitating down while the wings are trying to pull him up. The wax wings which are melting of human being. Reminding the labyrinth of which he was freed. He aspires to the sublime, divine spiritual while his body is drawn down into the rough sea awaiting to swallow him’’.
